- FADE IN:
- EXT. CHRISTMAS TREE LOT - DAY
- JAMIE and SVEN walk, holding hands down one of the narrow aisles of trees, followed closely by AARON.
- They are wrapped in scarves and coats are drawn tight against the cold breeze.
- AARON
- Oh, look at this tree, I think it's the straightest one here. You guys should grab this one.
- Jamie and Sven smile at each other and keep walking.
- AARON
- Or this one. Look how full the needles are.
- They keep walking, turning a corner and heading down another aisle.
- AARON
- I don't like any of these.
- SVEN
- Jamie, do you hear a faint buzzing behind you?
- JAMIE
- I don't hear anything, where'd Aaron go?
- AARON
- Very funny, you two. Seriously, what are you looking for? The ones back there were perfect.
- SVEN
- We'll know it when we see it.
- They turn another corner and begin walking down.
- AARON
- Oh look, the branches on this one are nice and stiff, good for hanging ornaments from.
- They keep walking.
- Aaron shakes his head and decides to just be quiet.
- They come to the end of the row.
- Jamie turns to Sven and nods, smiling
- AARON
- Uh?
- The tree in front of them is misshapen, its branches drooping sadly, the top branches crooked.
- JAMIE
- This is it.
- AARON
- You kidding?
- SVEN
- Not in the slightest. It's our Christmas tradition. We pick the un-likeliest tree in the lot. Just our quiet statement.
- AARON
- That's pretty loud.
- They chuckle, admiring the unsightliest tree in the lot.
- FADE TO BLACK.
