- FADE IN:
- INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
- Robert traces his sleeping WIFE's arm with his finger, marveling at her smooth skin.
- He twirls his finger, drawing invisible designs.
- She stirs and turns to him, smiling.
- He recoils as sand spills from her lips, pouring onto the bed.
- She grins at him, revealing a row of bloody shrapnel instead of teeth.
- He pulls back the covers trying to get away, revealing that his is dressed in desert fatigues.
- He screams.
- EXT. FALLUJAH STREET - DAY
- AMIRA stands in the center of the room, holding a picture of her father in one hand, her other hand clutched at her side.
- The wind blows her dress around her feet.
- ROBERT
- Get down! Get Down!
- She continues to stand, and Robert moves in, his rifle ready.
- He grabs her arm and marvels at how smooth it is.
- She looks him straight in the eye.
- AMIRA
- I'm so sorry.
- She opens her hand and a grenade falls.
- Robert watches as it descends to the ground as if in slow motion.
- Its surface buckles as it explodes and shrapnel is hurled around the room.
- He sees Amira crumple an instant before the wave a metal hits his body.
- FADE TO BLACK.
